What clients say
All testimonialsReceiving treatment from Henry has been a life-changing experience. He has helped me work past things and through issues that I thought would weigh me down for the rest of my life. I am a much stronger, more well-rounded and emotionally mature person thanks to him and the work we have done together. What stood out was his professionalism and understanding. He is able to look at the individual as a whole, rather than as a sum of their various parts, and he has been incredibly supportive throughout.
A senior clinician's record
Twenty-five years in practice. Trusted by other therapists for supervision.
For the past fifteen years, I have been based in private practice in the City of London, working extensively with corporate organisations, namely banks and law firms. I provide psychological therapy to professionals operating in high-pressure environments, and offer clinical supervision to other therapists, supporting their professional development and helping to maintain high standards of care.
I am a highly experienced Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over 25 years of clinical practice, originally trained in Scotland. I bring a strong foundation in evidence-based psychological therapies, with extensive experience across both public and private healthcare settings.

What I help with
Experience across a wide range of conditions
Over 25 years I have worked with people in addiction recovery and with depression, anxiety and OCD, as well as specialist conditions such as chronic pain.
Addiction recovery
Getting through the first weeks was one thing. Staying well is another: the cravings, the old routines, and the low mood that can arrive once the drinking or using stops.

The flatness rather than the sadness. Holding it together all day at work, then coming home and finding you cannot open the post.
Read moreAnxiety disorders
Anxiety that has outlasted the reassurance, and the avoidance that has quietly made a life smaller while looking like good sense every time.

OCD, and the ritual that works just well enough to keep you doing it. CBT with exposure and response prevention, online, at a pace you set.

CBT at the foundation. REBT, ACT, and coaching where the work calls for it.
My primary modality is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I hold Master's degrees in CBT (Distinction) and REBT, and have worked in the model for twenty-five years across the NHS and independent practice, much of it with professionals in banking and law in the City of London.
I draw on REBT, ACT, coaching, and bereavement counselling where the work calls for it. CBT keeps the work evidence-based and structured; the integrative range keeps it tailored to the person in front of me.
